EVES originated in Tauranga in 1968 when Matua was 'a long way out', Bethlehem a country hamlet and Papamoa just distant paddocks; and the company has expanded significantly to meet the needs of a thriving progressive city. In 1968 there was one office in Tauranga's Cameron Road. At the end of 2012 EVES identified that Hamilton would be a complimentary fit with the Bay of Plenty offices and in December 2012 they opened their first office. Now eleven real estate sales offices, five property management teams (with over 2,400 rental managements) and EVES' financial services arm, Rothbury, serve the Western Bay of Plenty and Waikato markets.
Staff numbers have increased from the single figures of the original office to 175 today, 40 of whom have been with the company over 10 years.
EVES has progressed technologically from 'RTs' in cars and cell phones the size of bricks to iPhones, iPads and full embracement of the internet. Property promotion has evolved over the 45 years from black and white single column advertisements to EVES' weekly full colour magazine, EVES Property, and twenty first century marketing methods designed to reach the wider regions and the world.
EVES has always supported its community, never more than by today's wide ranging sponsorships of and associations with sports, charity groups and notably the Trustpower/TECT Rescue Helicopter.
